This offer is for current SpiderPro users and customers only. If you purchased your SpiderPro in 2009 or 2010 and you missed our upgrade announcement, please make sure to read this.
Over the past year, feedback from our customers has shown that there was very little the SpiderPro could not do, but like any product and especially with constant use, normal wear patterns begin to develop. Over the past several months, It has come to our attention that in very few cases and under extreme use, the Spider Pin can create a deep enough groove in the shaft of the SpiderPro base to compromise the holster’s integrity.
Though this type of wear did not show up to this degree in our initial testing and evaluation, I obviously hold our products to a high standard and find this kind of extreme wear to the Spider base unacceptable. Many of you will not see this issue for a very long time; in fact, many will never reach that point. However, to remedy any instances of this wear to the Spider base, we have upgraded the design of the current SpiderPro to include a hardened stainless steel insert along the bottom of the shaft. After more comprehensive testing, we have determined that this insert will prevent the wear of the SpiderPro base, which is at the root of our concern.
At this time I’d like to ask that you take a look at your SpiderPro base to determine if you are also experiencing this level of wear. As I mentioned, so far it is only being reported in few cases, but if your SpiderPro does display excessive levels of wear, we recommend considering this upgrade to the Spider base. For those of you using your SpiderPro less strenuously, your current model is likely more than up to the task, but you can now choose this upgraded Spider base and install it in the future only when needed.
